This guy for President

This is Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND), giving an amazingly prescient speech on the eve of the passage of Gramm Leach Bliley on November 4th, 1999.

No senator who was in the chamber that day can claim they were not warned of the financial crisis that is upon us today, because Dorgan laid out what would happen in stark language and near-eerie detail.

You gotta love these guys

These guys! I don’t know who they were, just some uniformed guys who are upset with this man cause he asked them questions. They didn’t like that.

There’s a gang in my town that treats people like trash. They rob people. Kidnap people. And we can’t do a thing about it. Every once in a while you get to see somebody make a stand in front of them. There’s hope for the future.
